Conference time approaches, and that of course means a new city that many of us have never been to. Fortunately, we have a few insiders who can help give us some idea of the areas and things to do (besides the beach). Matt Crow, Sara Evans, and Kathy Johnson were kind enough to do some of the leg work for us. The following is certainly not an exhaustive list, but should hopefully give you some idea about things to do and how much it will cost to get around.
There is also a ton of information, about both Pensacola Beach and Pensacola downtown, at https://www.visitpensacola.com/.
Things to do on Pensacola Beach
Pensacola Beach restaurants (not in this list: Peg Leg Pete’s, which an $8 Uber ride away, but excellent and on the way to Ft. Pickens)
Pensacola Downtown restaurants
The Naval Aviation Museum is also a great way to spend several hours, especially for anyone who will have kids with them (approx. $35 Uber)
Airport to Hilton Transportation (prices are approx):
Taxi: $40-$50
Uber: $33-$50
The airport also has information on shuttle and limo service
Hilton to Downtown Pensacola (prices are approx):
